PDC world championship 2017 starts Thursday!

The 2017 William Hill World Darts Championship is the 24th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event will take place at Alexandra Palace in London from 15 December 2016 to 2 January 2017.

Gary Anderson is the defending champion.


In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the tournament will be broadcast by Sky Sports, who have shown every edition since the competition’s inception. It was confirmed on 14 November 2016 that Sky Sports 3 will be rebranded as Sky Sports Darts from 12 December 2016 to 5 January 2017.

In the Netherlands the tournament will be broadcast by RTL7, who have shown the tournament since 2012.

In Germany it will be on SPORT1 and SPORT1+.
